Still No Shower

Most people who know me know that I teach group fitness classes. It’s a hobby and a side hustle. Since it’s not my main hustle, I’m usually running straight from class to some other obligation. I teach Thursday mornings, and I’m going to be real honest and tell you there have been several weeks when I’ve dropped the kids off to daycare on Friday morning with yesterday’s sweat still stuck to me. I get out of class and scoot back home with just enough time to hop on Zoom meetings for the rest of the day. Then comes dinnertime. Then bathtime (for the kids). Then stories. Then bedtime (again, for the kids). Then, often more work. Is it super gross? Yup. Do I care? Nope. Don’t even get me started on the last time I actually shaved my legs.
What self-care practice do you wish you made more time for?

Even if you're cool with being a super-stinky slug, an unrushed shower can feel really good. Give yourself enough time to breathe in the steam and let the water run down your back next time you hop in the shower. You deserve it.
